As part of the upgrade to our hosting platform, we will upgrade current server MySQL version from 5.6 to 5.7 in our shared hosting environment at below scheduled date and time. MySQL 5.6 will reach End of Life on February 5, 2021. There has been fixes and updates throughout the life cycle of MySQL 5.6, these will stop.
It is now time to move over a new and more secure hosting environment no matter for your applications or our server.
Date: 6 January 2021, Wednesday
Time: 5:00PM – 7:00PM MYT
***Only client's website that host under server, 103.26.45.21 will be affected***
As part of the upgrade procedure requirement, both Web & MySQL services will be shut off from services.
What Should I do?
As the upgrade is a major version change, we strongly advise all our clients to ensure all custom written applications and websites running on our server are fully compatible with MySQL 5.7.
Kindly check with your in-house webmaster/outsource webmaster/programmer regarding this matter.
For extra precautionary measures, we strongly advise our customers to perform a BACKUP on their critical data.
